Glen Sensenbach was no stranger to drugs or trouble. He began his long road with addiction when he started sticking needles in his arm at the age of eleven. Continuing down that destructive path, Glen got into trouble with the law, landing him in jail, where he spent most of his life.

"When I used to walk the streets, I would cross to the other side if I saw him coming," recalls Doug Perry, Glen's drug court sponsor and director of Celebrate Recovery at Columbia Heights Assembly. "He was one bad dude."

Glen's whole life turned around when he began attending Celebrate Recovery. It was there that he felt the acceptance of church members surrendered his life to Christ. At that point, Glen changed--and others started taking notice.

Today, Glen celebrates some notable milestones impossible to imagine in his previous life. In June, 2011, Glen graduated Drug Court and is currently studying to become a chemical dependency counselor. He also plans to marry Amber Jensen. He lives by the belief that that former addicts like him can become contributing members of society.

He runs Faithful Servants because he believes that God has good plans for people like him--people who used to be chained up by anger, addiction, and pain.
